SPECIALIZED AD-HOC
ChoMUN XXX’s Specialized Ad-Hoc will be the first committee of its kind in ChoMUN history and has been specially designed to give experienced delegates a unique and exciting experience. The committee topic will remain a secret until shortly before the conference, at which point the background guide will be released and delegates will have the opportunity to engage in committee-specific preparation. Due the nature of the committee, delegates will be forced to think on their feet, and their Model UN skills will be constantly tested. As a new committee offering for ChoMUN XXX, the Specialized Ad-Hoc promises a uniquely competitive experience which will challenge delegates’ experiences with traditional Model UN.
While several hints for this committee will be released over the days leading to the start of ChoMUN XXX, the executives would caution against relying too heavily upon them; they are not meant to be easily interpreted, as that would ruin the secret! When preparing for this committee, the executives encourage delegates to focus on tangible skills, including but not limited to: note and directive writing, speeches, directive mergers, and on-your-feet thinking.
This is an advanced committee.
We highly recommend that delegates have diverse experience competing on the collegiate circuit before joining this committee.
