The Wealthiest Place on Earth: The Executive Board of Walt Disney Attractions, 1992 - 2001

"To all who come to this happy place: Welcome. Disneyland is your land. Here age relives fond memories of the past, and here youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future. Disneyland is dedicated to the ideals, the dreams, and the hard facts that have created America, with the hope that it will be a source of joy and inspiration to all the world." - Walt Disney

Disneyland is your land. As the Executive Board of Disney Attractions, you control seven of the world’s biggest theme parks, with more on their way. Disney is primed to enter the European market with the opening of Euro Disney in Paris. Facing criticisms of cultural imperialism, Disney must ensure the park’s success while maintaining its image as The Happiest Place on Earth, and must figure out how it can continue its expansion with new parks across the world.

Delegates will be put into a board room that balances creative and financial crises. They’ll be asked to determine what kinds of new parks and experiences Disney should create. They’ll have to deal with park safety, striking workers, pressure from Disney executives, and public backlash. Ultimately, they’ll need to balance financial concerns while still creating that Disney magic that made their parks so famous in the first place.

How will you uphold Walt Disney’s legacy and lead Disney Attractions into a bold new era?
